NHRA Drag Racing Weekend Coming Up Next

The wait is over and it's time to light up the dragstrip! Three days of events are planned for the 1/8 NHRA Drag racing season opening weekend.

Friday, April 21 will see the firs installment of Midnight Street Drags. This will be an opportunity to get your daily driver off the street and onto the race track. Unlimited timed grudge matches will be available on the prepped race track. There will also be an open test and tune lane for any NHRA drag car that wants some track time. All cars will be required to have a headlight as the shutdown area is not fully light but the 1/8 mile will have full stadium lighting. Gates open at 6 pm. Tech starts at 7 pm and the strip will be open from 8 pm till Midnight. Friday's general admission is $5 with children 6 & under Free. Every ticket is a pit pass. $20 will get the driver the credentials needed to run their car on the race track.

Saturday & Sunday will see the return of the Summit Series ET Bracket Racing. With Sunday being round one of four for the Land of the Leader Challenge Series. Gates will open at 8 am, Tech opens at 8:15 am, Time Trials 11 am, with bracket racing starting around 1 pm. General Admission is $12 with children 6 & under Free. Every ticket is a pit pass. For the racer is $35 to run in the scheduled bracket races.

Along with bracket racing, Satuday & Sunday drivers will have the opportunity to enter the racers pot for a chance at winning some cold hard cash. Those that end up losing in the first round will have the opportunity to enter the Bracke Buster, this is an event designed to keep giving drivers the chance to keep racing even though they are out of the day's events. Season points will kick off as well and our 2017 champions will be honored at the year-end speedway banquet.
